# Pattern
Pattern Commands systematically replicate features or bodies, enhancing efficiency through associative relationships. CrownCAD provides four pattern types:
Linear, Circular, Curve-Driven, and Sketch-Driven.

- Pattern Types
Body Pattern:Replicates selected bodies (e.g., fan blades in video)
Feature Pattern:Duplicates feature operations (e.g., hole pattern on disc)
- Core Parameters
Spacing/Angle: Controls instance distribution
Instance Count: Defines replication quantity
- Instance Control
- Skip Instances: Enable option → Click white centroid markers to exclude specific instances
- Curve-Driven Pattern
Alignment Methods: Align to Source: Maintains original orientation
Tangent to Curve: Aligns with curve tangency
Curve Reference Types: Offset Curve: Parallel offset from original curve
Transform Curve: Scaled/rotated transformation
- Sketch-Driven Pattern
Place instances at sketched point locations
Reference Types:
- Centroid: Matches source body's center of mass
Designated Point: Aligns with user-selected point
