# Weldment

CrownCAD Weldment Module enables rapid generation of welded structures from defined frames, supports weldment attachments (e.g., gussets), and automates production documentation with weld symbols and cutting lists for centralized fabrication.

  1. Layout Path Creation:
  • Combine 2D/3D sketches to construct structural skeletons
  1. Structural Member Generation:
  • Access GB-standard profile library (angles, tubes, channels)
  • Profile Positioning:
    • Default alignment: Profile sketch origin
    • Adjust via "Profile Settings"
  1. Corner Processing:

  • "Path Settings" controls:

  • Corner treatment (Miter/Butt)

  • Weld seam specifications

  • "Trim/Extend" modifies joint connections

  1. Weldment Attachments:

  • "Gusset": Reinforce intersections

  • "End Cap": Create sealing plates (standard solid bodies)

  1. Weldment Properties, Automated Cutting List:

  • Right-click → "Cutting List Properties"

  • View/extend: Length, QTY, Material

  • Add custom attributes
