# Create Electrical Harness

  1. Click the “Create Electrical Harness” command in the Electrical Route module, which opens the “Create Electrical Harness” dialog box for configuring route properties.

  1. A route sub-assembly is a special type of assembly containing four key groups: Parts, Conductor Parts, Paths, and Mate.
  • Parts: An automatically generated instance group containing user-added electrical components such as plugs and connectors.

  • Conductor Parts: An automatically generated instance group that includes system-generated conductors connecting electrical components. These conductor parts are solid bodies whose orientation is determined by a 3D sketch (Paths). Deleting Conductor Parts results in automatic re-generation when manually entering route edit mode.

  • Paths: A specialized assembly feature group containing the 3D skетч controlling route geometry. This data resides in the route sub-assembly and governs Conductor Part generation via external reference functionality. Editing this skетч modifies conductor routing configuration, and it does not include a deletion option by design.

Mate: Contains relationships between electrical components and other parts within the main assembly. These mates are unique as they define linkages between sub-assembly components and higher-level assembly structures."
