# Assembly Navigation

An assembly document is a design environment for defining parts and sub-assemblies under assembly, as well as defining a variety of fit relationships. It usually consists of navigation bar, function toolbar, instance list, fit list, feature list, viewport area, view function, animation, as shown in the following figure:

# New

You can click "New Document" in the navigation bar or in the document list to pop up the Create document interface, enter the document name (the default name is: Assembly when not entered), select the type as "Assembly", and click Create, as shown in the following picture:

Composition and function refer to the parts document related content.

# Function Toolbar

Contains undo rollback function, edit parts, insert parts or assembly, copy with fit, standard parts, fit, mirror, array, stretch cut, and variable functions, as shown below:

# Instance List

The instance list is used to display all instances in the current assembly document, as shown in the following figure:

# Mate List

The mate list is used to display all mate relationships in the current assembly document, as shown in the following figure:

# Feature List

The feature list includes standard planes and all features in the current assembly document, including pattern features, extruded cut features etc., as shown in the following figure:
