# Surface Roughness


Used to generate surface roughness annotations. The generation steps are as follows:

  1. Click the Surface roughness command to bring up the Surface Roughness dialog box.

  2. Set the Surface roughness symbol content and style in the Surface Roughness dialog box.

  • Type: Select the type of surface roughness.

  • Full Circle: When checked, the full circle symbol appears on the surface roughness.

  • Input box: Enter the text and the text appears at the corresponding position of the surface roughness symbol.

  • Knife mark direction: Select the direction of the knife mark and the corresponding symbol appears on the surface roughness.

  • Angle: Set the symbol rotation Angle, click the button to quickly modify to the preset Angle.

  • Font: Set the font of the annotation.

  • Lead: Set the lead of the annotation. Note that the no-lead style can be selected here.

  • Color: Set the color of the annotation.

  • Layer: Set the layer to which the annotation belongs.

  1. Click in the viewport to determine the surface roughness position.
  • There are lead styles that need to be clicked twice, the first time to determine where the arrow is pointing and the second time to determine where the symbol is placed.

  • The leadless style only needs to be clicked once when labeled on the edge line to determine the position of the symbol. When marking the size boundary line, you need to click twice, the first time to determine the position of the symbol and the second time to determine the direction of the symbol.
