# Edit Sketch Definition

Define a new plane for the created sketch or reverse the sketch normal, sketch origin, and sketch up direction.

  1. Right-click on the completed sketch feature or the sketch in the viewport, and select "Edit Sketch Definition" to display the Change Sketch Plane dialog box.

    • Plane: Shows the current reference plane/surface where the sketch resides. You can directly click on the face in the viewport to be replaced, and the option box will automatically be replaced with the new selected reference plane/surface.

    • Reverse sketch normal: Displays the current sketch state by default. Check to reverse the sketch normal direction.

    • Sketch origin: Displays the current sketch state by default. When checked, you can pick or change a point to set as the sketch origin. The point can come from the sketch, solid body, surface, curve, or reference element.

    • Sketch up direction: Displays the current sketch state by default. After checking, you can pick or change the up direction, which can be referenced by picking a line or two edges. Supports single-click reverse button to reverse.

  2. Click [OK] to complete the sketch plane editing.

Note: If there are conversion boundary elements in the sketch, after changing the sketch plane, they will be reprojected. If the projection does not conform to normal logic, the sketch lines after switching the plane will remain consistent with before, and the corresponding conversion boundary constraints will change to error constraint status. After deletion, the sketch can return to normal.
