# Mirror Components

Parts can be mirrored in assembly. Its command interface is shown in the image below.

The mirror is an array in two directions for the top-level instance. If a subinstance is selected in the viewport, the array is still applied to the top-level instance. The controls are described as follows:

(1) Mirror surface: You can choose the base surface or the solid surface.

(2) Instance: Select a part, mirror for the top-level instance, the sub-parts under the sub-assembly cannot be mirrored separately.

(3) Directional options: components affect the effect of the image.

Note:

Note: If you select "Generate a new document in the opposite direction" option, click OK to generate a new document, you can customize the name of the new document.

# Mirror Function

Image parts are associated with the source document New documents generated by an image in the opposite direction support being associated with the source document.

How to use:

  1. Create the assembly and insert the parts.

  2. Using the image command, select the "Create a new document for the opposite orientation" method to create an image document for the part.

  3. Jump to the part document and edit the part.

  4. Open the assembly document and view the image document, updated in sync.
