# Coordinate System

After selecting the type, create a coordinate system by picking up the elements in the corresponding pick box of the type, the coordinate system types include three points, one point, two lines, three planes, dynamic, offset, current view.

Click on the toolbar to open the coordinate system command dialog box, and its command interface is as shown in the picture below.

# Mode of Operation

  1. Three points: choose three points as the origin point, X point, Y point to create the coordinate system;

Note:

Points can be sketch points, origin points, solid/surface edges/vertices of space curves

Point 1 is the origin, point 1 points in the direction of point 2 is the X direction, the face perpendicular to the X direction through the origin is the YZ face, point 3 is projected to the YZ face to form point 4, the connection direction between point 4 and the origin is the Y direction, the effect is as shown in the figure below:

  1. One point and two lines: through a point and two lines as the origin and set the direction to create a coordinate system, the third direction is calculated, can not be changed; You can reverse the direction of the coordinate system by checking below, the effect is as shown in the following picture:

Note:

Points can be sketch points, origin, solid/surface edges/vertices of space curves; A line can be a line, a plane (taking the normal direction), a datum axis, or two points.

  1. Three planes: Create a coordinate system by specifying three non-coplanar planes, the intersection point of the three planes is the origin, and the normal direction of plane 1 is the X direction, the effect is as shown below:

Note:

Planes can be planes, datum planes, or solid planes.

  1. Dynamic: The coordinate system handle appears from the selected coordinate system, drag the handle to translate/rotate to a new position to create a new coordinate system, the effect is as shown below:

Note:

No coordinate system can be selected. If no coordinate system is selected, handle appears in the absolute coordinate system (origin).

  1. Offset: Create a coordinate system by offset, rotation and other Settings along the existing coordinate system, which is divided into two operation modes: first translation and first rotation:
  • First translation: translation along the XYZ direction before the selected coordinate system is not rotated; Then rotate the corresponding Angle around the center of the circle and in the direction of the XYZ axis before rotation, with the effect as shown below:

  • Rotate first: rotate the corresponding Angle around the center of the circle and the XYZ axis direction before rotation, and then translate the corresponding distance along the XYZ direction after rotation, the effect is as shown in the figure below:

  1. Current view: The selected point is the origin, the upper direction of the current view is the Y direction, the right direction of the current view is the X direction, the effect is as shown in the following figure:

# Invert Option

Some operation types provide reversal options, check can make the corresponding direction reverse, at most two items at the same time.
