# Assembly Reference
# Assembly Sketch
Support for creating 2D sketches in assemblies.
Instructions for use:
- In Assembly, click on the 【Draw Sketch】 command of the assembly module to create and enter the 2D sketch.
Sketch in assembly operates in the same way as sketch in parts.
Priority support commands: Line, dimension constraints, add/remove constraints, capture.
The resulting sketch is recorded in sequence in the feature panel.
- Right-click menu as shown below, you can re-edit, hide display and other operations.
- The sketch of the child assembly in the parent assembly of the hidden rules
- When an assembly is a child assembly, its sketch is not displayed by default.
- Right-click the subassembly and select "Show Sketch" to display the sketch in the display state in the subassembly, instead of the sketch of the parts within the subassembly.
# Datum
Support for creating datum planes, datum axes, coordinate systems, point features in the assembly.
Instructions for use:
In the assembly, the assembly module supports the command of 【datum plane, datum axis, coordinate system, datum point】.
The commands are used in the same way as in the parts.
The resulting sketches are recorded in sequence in the features panel
Right-click menu as shown below, you can re-edit, hide display and other operations.
- The reference of the child assembly refers to the explicit and hidden rules in the parent assembly
- When an assembly is a child assembly, its benchmark is not displayed by default.
- Right-click the subassembly and select "Show/Hide Datum" or other datum to show the datum that is in the display state in the subassembly, not the datum of the part within the subassembly.
