# Project Curve

The drawn curve is projected onto the model surface to generate a space curve; or the sketches on two intersecting datum planes, respectively, project the surfaces in their respective vertical directions to intersect to generate a space curve

Click to enter the projection curve command, Its command interface is shown in the figure below.

There are two ways to generate projection curves: Sketch on Surface and Sketch on Sketch.

# Sketch on The Face

The drawn curve is projected onto the model surface to generate a space curve, with each control described below:

  1. Sketch: Only one projected sketch can be selected, and the sketch can contain only one open or closed loop.

Note:

Projection of the sketch line on the face must intersect with the face.

  1. Projection surface: Multiple elements can be selected, which can be planes, surfaces, or planes.

  2. Reverse: The projection direction can be switched with this option.

Example: Create a surface and sketch in a viewport, as shown in the following image:

Select the sketch to project on the surface, the effect is as shown below:

# Sketch On Sketch

Sketches on two intersecting datum planes, projecting surfaces in their respective vertical directions intersect to generate a space curve.

Its controls are described as follows:

  1. Sketch: Select the sketch on two intersecting planes.

Note:

Straighten the Outlines of two sketches so that when they are projected perpendicular to the datum of the sketch, their implied surfaces will intersect, resulting in intersecting curves.

Example: Create two sketches on the upper view plane and the front view plane, as shown in the following image:

Select these two sketches, and the preview is shown below:

Click【OK】to confirm the operation, and click【Cancel】to exit the operation.
